United Nations Human Rights Council
Agenda- Combating racism and related intolerance with a special focus on police brutality.
UNHCR essentially works in providing a trusted, respectful, and inclusive environment where people feel safe, heard, equipped, and empowered to speak up for themselves and others. Everybody has read several cases of police brutality and the phrase “Black lives matter” online. With this year’s agenda of AHMUN 2020, we aim to give you a chance to voice your opinions about something we have only been reading online, get to the depth of the matter and come up with the measures to resolve the same conflict.
THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
YASH MANANI
TAHER PENWALA
Yash Manani is a student at Jai Hind College. He looks at MUNs as a platform to communicate, which is one of the most essential parts of human nature. He feels each and every person, doesn't only get to express their thoughts, but also gains knowledge by listening to 10 other point of views which is fascinating. His goal at the conference would be to help create such a atmosphere that the delegates take the maximum out of the session.
An outdoorsy individual and MUN enthusiast who you'd spot memorizing speeches in the middle of traffic congestions. He's a broad minded individual who is always up for deep discussions. An active participant in whatever task it may be, he'd always have his own quirky ways but will make sure get the best out of it. Feel free to ask multiple doubts at any point, as many times as you wish as he's extremely approachable too.
