UNHRC

Agenda: The aftermath of Taliban takeover and subsequent human right violations in Afghanistan.

Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan! As the United States withdrew its remaining troops in 2021, fighting between the Taliban and Afghan government forces intensified. Hundreds of civilians have been killed and injured in insurgent attacks, including targeted assassinations of journalists and officials. Indiscriminate government airstrikes added to the civilian toll. Women's rights advocates have raised concerns about shrinking space for civil society. The Taliban have imposed severe restrictions on women's rights and free expression in areas they control. The Covid-19 pandemic has overwhelmed Afghanistan's fragile health system, adding to an ongoing humanitarian crisis. So delegates, pull up your socks and get ready for hell of a ride! Here's hoping that the UNHRC and AHMUN as a whole is a humongous success!

THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

TAHER PENWALA

PRISHA AGARWAL

An outdoorsy individual and MUN enthusiast who you'd spot memorising speeches in the middle of traffic congestions. However gawky he may sound, it's just a deceiving cover for his sly ways of making things work his way. That's Taher Penwala in a nutshell.
He's a broad-minded individual who is always up for deep discussions. An active participant in whatever task it may be, he'd always have his own quirky ways but will make sure get the best out of it.

Prisha is a free-spirited individual who always speaks from her heart. Her approachable nature  has always helped her to establish good connect with her seniors, peers, and team members. She feels that through an MUN, every individual gets a platform to speak and voice their opinions about current world affairs. Her goal as a chairperson is always to create a formal, yet comfortable platform for all her delegates.
